WRESTLING FUNDRAISER

The Adams family has offered to purchase the team new singlets if we can help with a golf outing fundraiser. The golf outing is October 5th. You should have recieved the flyer in an email. May- The new head coach is expected to be named by the end of the month.  Stay tuned!

March 30- The awards banquet took place and senior Ron Townsend was named team OW.  Albert Rozman took home the Coach's Award, Christian Mayer notched the Most Improved spot and Josh Hall grabbed the coveted "Hustle Award" as only a freshman.  Three seniors were honored: David Dubiel (140), Mike Terndrup (152) and Townsend, with fourteen letterwinners and 21 wrestlers returning in 08-09.

February 21- Albert Rozman went 3-3 to finish 6th at the District meet, missing state qualification by a single match.  Roz opened with a 1-point victory (over an eventual state qualifier) and garnered two more big wins on the day.  Christian Mayer won a match at 125, while Ron Towsend and Josh Hall lost both their bouts.

February 14 - Four Ready wrestlers advanced to the District tournament, led by sophomore Christian Mayer's runner-up finish at 125 lbs.  Mayer upset the #2 and #3 seeds on his way to the finals.  Albert Rozman (10th grade-103) tech falled his opponent to qualify, Josh Hall (9th grade -112) wrestled above his record and Senior Ron Townsend (160) notched last second win in the ticket match.  Rozman, Hall and Townsend all finished 4th.  119-pounder Mike Escolas missed qualification by one match, finishing 6th.
