Bishop
Ready Winter Classic – 2007
Athletic Director or Coach,
Thank you for choosing to attend the
2007 Bishop Ready Winter Classic.
For over thirty years, the tournament has drawn some of the best and
brightest teams in Ohio, thriving on the age-old wrestling tradition of holiday
events. It is our goal to not only return this event to its previous status as the Central Ohio tournament, but also
to elevate it and streamline the process, making it a challenging tournament to
win and a fun event to attend. Please read the instructions carefully, as some
elements of the tournament have changed since last season.

Tournament Style and Placing
The tournament will be run using a
16- to 32-man bracket, depending on the entries. Seeds will follow the standard placement, using the bracket
located within the state rules booklet.
The bracket will only be redrawn in the case of a #1 or #2 seed
scratching. A wrestler who misses
weight on the day of the tournament will be scratched and his spot will become
a forfeit. That wrestler will not
be able to move into a higher weight division. If a wrestler fails to show to the scale, the line he
previously inhabited will become a bye.
Team points will be awarded to 8th
place, however awards will only be given to 6th place.
Tournament Fee
If you havent yet submitted your
teams entrance fee of $175, please do so as soon as possible.
The Mustache Contest –
MID-OHIO FOOD BANK FUNDRAISER
We invite the coaches of
participating teams to come sporting the best mustache that they can muster in
a short time. It must be a
stand-alone (no goatees), although no other criteria are being set. Creativity is encouraged, but size and
thickness certainly will be considered.
Fans will be given the chance to vote for their favorite by donating $1
to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. This is
a great chance to help feed the hungry and look like an idiot at the same time.
Please contact either one of us with any questions or
concerns you may have. See you in
a few weeks.
Sincerely,
Ralph Locke III
