Since 1971, when Bob Dieli Jr. won his first state title, the Bishop Ready wrestling team has defined tradition. Twenty-nine state champions have trained within our walls, along with Hall-of-Fame coaches Bob Stoll (Dublin Coffman) and Mickey Balmert (Hamilton Township).

Many Silver Knight wrestlers have gone on to great coaching careers, including Kenny Ramsey (4x State Champ, Head Coach at Embry Riddle), Tommy Rowlands (2x State Champ, 2x National Champ, Asst. Coach OSU), Ross Thatcher (2x State Champ, All-American, Asst. Coach at OSU) and Dominic DiSabato (3x State Champ, Head Coach at Hilliard Davidson). The lists expands well past these alumni, but you get the picture. In addition, 1989 graduate Adam DiSabato went on to earn All-American honors 3x at OSU, culminating with his 2006 induction into the Ohio State HOF.

The program is alive, well and moving in the right direction.
